I'm not receiving any notifications irrespective of whether I posted the missive or clicked notify on someone elses.
I have notifications set in my profile to instant and replies and moderation.
Ami I missing something?

I'd also like to request some way to "Unwatch/Unsubscribe" forum threads.

You can eliminate notifications from a thread by using the "Unnotify" button.  In threads that you are not watching, it shows up as "Notify" and as "Unnotify" in threads that you are watching. You will find it at both the top and bottom of the thread, just before the first post and just after the last post on the page, near the right side, just a bit to the right of the "Reply" button.

I guess I didn't explain myself very well, sorry.
What I meant was when I click on "Show new replies to your posts" at the top, it shows any replies to any threads that I've posted in.
Not a big deal, but there are times I wish I could not have them populate this area for other peoples threads. If I want to continue reading any new posts for others threads, I'd click the "Notify" button.
Just wondering if there's a way to stop these notifications ?

I see now what you mean. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

If I recall correctly, the notify feature has to do with whether or not you are sent an email for responses to a particular thread. It will not have anything to do with which threads are shown to you when you use the "Show new replies to your posts" link or the "Show unread posts since your last visit" link.

I usually make use of the "Show unread posts since your last visit link".  I read the responses that appear in the list of threads, selecting them in whatever order I feel like. If I get the list narrowed down and there are a few posts left that I don't wish to read, I simply click on the "Mark all messages as read" button so that they disappear from the list. Granted, any threads that get updated again will appear again the next time I am here, but I have the opportunity to simply skip over them again if I wish. That is about all a person can do.

Charles, you will be receiving a PM from me shortly. I am digging into your profile details to see if I can find something that might be causing that problem for you.

While we're on the subject, is there a way to view what threads I've requested notification on ?
So far, I think I've only clicked "NOTIFY" on one thread. I've never received any notifications, but I can't say that there have been any new posts on that thread either.
And don't ask which thread, I can't remember. LOL

Yes Jimmy, there is, and I just found it quite by accident. To see the list of posts on which you should get notification, go to the Notifications section of your profile. Instructions are included below if you need them.  Just below the section with the three checkboxes there is a section that lists all of the threads for which you have the 'Notify' switch turned on. You can open each thread individually or you can use the checkboxes at the far right to change the 'notify' switch en masse.

Now, there is a setting in your profile where you can enable the software to automatically turn on the notify option for any thread that you post or reply to. That needs to be turned on for notifications to work on their own.

To get to those settings:
- On the menu bar, hover the mouse over "Profile" then click on "Forum Profile"
- On the submenu, hover the mouse over "Modify Profile" then click on "Notifications"
- On the notifications screen, make sure that the first three items are all checkmarked.
- On the notifications screen there are two items lists as  "For topics and boards I've requested notification on, notify me:"   The first one should be: "Instantly - but only for the first unread reply"  and the second one should be:  "Replies and moderation"
- If you made any changes on that screen, make sure you click on the "Save Settings" button in the lower right corner of the screen.

Next we'll move to the section for PMs
- On the submenu bar, hover the mouse over "Modify Profile" then click on "Personal Messaging"
- Find the item "Notify by email every time you receive a personal message:"  and set it to "Always"
- Click on the "Change Profile" button in the lower right corner.

Thanks Terry, I need to play around on the site more to check out options.
One last question. On the "Layout and Look" under profile, there's a check box for "Show WYSIWYG editor on post page by default".
What does "WYSIWYG" mean ?
I Googled it and it came up "What You See Is What You Get". Still not sure what it does if you check the box.

What you found is correct and it means that when turned on, what you see when you type it is exactly what everyone else will see too. I have not played with that switch in my settings but I can tell you that it is turned on in my settings.

It is supposed to make your post in the reply box look exactly like it will when you post it.

Maybe that's what I've been looking for.
I've been trying to figure out how to get pictures to post in the message as I'm creating it. Be able to space and comment on them as I add them.
Only way I've figured out so far is to add the pictures and post the message and then go back and modify it.

If you post from tapatalk, you can go back and edit the post, the photo links are in the edit, you can copy and paste them anywhere in your message.
