As Archie Bunker would say "That Turlette is on my To Do list. Thanx for the link.

That was a pretty cool idea!   I don't think I'd use such a large brush and maybe make it taller  as I feel it was in the way...  but that is nit picking..  But still useful and a good idea! imho. LOL

ran across this video this morning about a traveling lathe oiler project from a 1963 Popular Mechanics magazine.
The part about it starts at about 2:20 into the video.

The gentleman I bought it from used a laptop with the machine. Used a DNS program to transfer and host the Gcode. The machines memory only has enough for a few lines of code then it pulls more from the computer through a serial cable.
Apparently this method is still used and there's lots of support still.

I can use my more powerful PC to run fusion then send it to the laptop on the machine. But, we will see.

I was referring to the machine interface bring a long road to learn. I was watching some videos on homing/origin/offsets/etc from the machine control panel. There's a lot of trial and error and stuff that I'll have to go through.

There might be a few options open to you other than learning a new programming code.
1. If the computer has a serial interface, you might be able to find a code conversion program that converts your current CAD/CAM program to Fanuc 6 and just transfer the code to the computer via the interface.
2. Upgrade the machine with a new computer. This seems to be a possibly difficult endeavor depending on the type of motors and sensors your machine has. Here's a link to a similar problem, might help.

My RPC probably has enough power to run the electronics and servos, but not the main spindle motor. But I'm signing the new 3 phase hydro contract next week. Frankly, I'm more concerned if my floors are capable of handling the weight.
...lots of money pouring out. Hopefully it makes it easy back eventually.

Welp... I just bought a CNC lathe 😬😬😬 kinda freaking out... But what's done is done.

I have to arrange to drag it home and begin the loonnnnnnngg process of learning the old Fanuc 6 programming. Gonna wreck some tools in the process for sure. But, I'm assured I have work for this machine once I have it running...

But, yikes none the less! I've watched some videos on the old programming and it's scary. I mean, I haven't not been able to figure things out before, but, I know this is gonna be a long road...
I've run a few parts on Jonathan's CNC router and it alone was a headache to sort through my mistakes. This is orders of magnitude more complicated.
I'm nervous and freaking out and excited...
