Heavy duty grinder stand

Ths thing is a monster, made by Jet, tips the scale at 80lbs.

I've had the grinder for some time now. The way I had it mounted, was not allowing me to use the vacuum port on the rear.

 I would roll it outside to use it and was ok. With a wild hair and some spare cash, went looking for the stand.

Looks perfect.   Nice to have the factory stands for stuff.   
It is funny how sometimes a bug in our heads and just need something and the average normal person will be like you spent how much on what???!

No need to the mass supports itself, I don't push the work. Let the wheels do the work, ruffly 150lbs sitting there.

Thats tough to beat at a price like that!

I built one from a truck wheel, and tubing. My main complaint with most pre made grinder stands is they are too low.

I capped the end of the upright off and stuffed it full of steel swarf and dry sand, I intend to pour the wheel full of cement, but it turned out heavy enough.

LMAO, I bet it is    Being too low was a thought that crossed my mind. Especially when I lifted the upright out of the box.

The contour of the legs and the grinder itself ended up good, I'm 5/11 and some change. Standing in front of the machine my arms are at a 90 to the platen.

I'm 6'4".... I built a large bench off my shop wall to house my grinders...
Sorry, what was that about short grinder pedestals?? Haha 🤣

However, I've yet to find I grinder I can afford that isn't super weak in the pants....
