Thats the grass my kids havent stompped down. Its also at the edge of the sprinkler they play in, so it gets watered often.

I got a few minutes of shop time over the weekend, and got the drive hub for the "not rod" done.
I used the old sprocket to make the mounting flang for the new sprocket.

I bored the center hole out to its finall size, and turned a shaft between centers to mount it on the lathe.
I got the hub to its size for the new sprocket to fit snug then skimmed the flange to make it all true, and square.

I then turned the teeth off by cutting into the root.
When I got close to through, I was able to break them off in a complete ring with a plastic hammer.

Holes, 8 of them. Plus 8 5/16" bolts, and 8 nylock nuts.
Im glad I bought a deviding head! I bolted it to the Frances Reed drill press and cominced to poking holes.
