I have vents in the attic. How about putting a Y connection with the dryer vent, just don't use both the AC and the dryer at the same time.

Right now, I just prop the garage overhead door a little and wedge the exhaust outlet through the opening. It works well, I am just looking to free up some floor space.

Picking up a Shop swamp cooler from CL add today, I figure if humidity is below 20% it should be ok
If not I’ll use it for the house and get a window ac for the Shop next year .

A Wye is an acceptable method for exhausting. Pending the pipe diameters are reasonable. You usually want to upsize when you join pipes. Most codes want the exhaust pipe to be able to handle the combined cfm regardless if you only run one at a time. But as long as the exhaust vent is minimum 4" you should be okay.
 I'd also look into a damper/check gate so one appliance cannot exhaust out through the opposite appliance. Namely, the dryer into the AC. The dryer lint will really wreak havoc on the heat exchanger in the AC.

It would be to costly for me to run two air conditioners here so the swamp cooler will have to cool one of the two buildings

The two speed Shop swamp cooler was $50  it was used one season according to previous owner it looks new ,and came with extra new pads. I’m going to put wheels under it “it’s a big one “ not sure where I’ll put it during winter
Seems to work good , has any one doubled the pads  Would it cool better ?

Won’t it raise the humidity in its surrounding environment?

Was told if humidity is below 25% it won’t cause a rust problem, guess I’ll find out soon enough.
