Anyone have an opinion/information on the Doall/Romi Model LD1340 lathe ?
I just recently found one listed for sale and haven't found much in the way of reviews or information, beyond the label plate stating "Made in Brazil".

You check out the lathes-uk site? Thats the first place I go. I’ve heard of both names but no personal experience

Unless I'm missing it, not listed there.

JUNK!!! IMO.
Go check it out. If it's not worn out, it may be okay. I've been down in Brazil many years ago in a shop that had a few of them. This was in 1979. One was trashed out, this was like a 24" swing by 30 foot between centers. The others I saw were on the verge of crapping out. OF course, years later, they may have improved with Bridgeports help, I don't know.

I've run a Bridgeport-Romi which was a beautiful running lathe.
