You guys should fact check before you post.

What exactly needs to be fact checked? Please elaborate.

Every single statement of "fact" which has been posted about South Africa.  They all appear to be false or gross exaggerations.

https://globalnews.ca/news/4404258/south-africa-fact-checks-trump-on-white-farmers-tweet/ for one set of fact checks. On the surface it might appear that your President was played by a small group from SA. There are as usual many ways of looking at the situation, depending on what you are looking to gain from it. SA does seem to be using some caution to avoid creating Zimbabwe 2.0 as it is termed.

Not quite sure though why the US is suddenly looking at human rights in SA, they continue to fully support Israel and Saudi Arabia. Might be that distraction thing that he does so often :-)

I will ping my SA buddy though, just for his perspective.

From what I've seen the government isn't involved in the killings. its mostly vigilante groups trying to chase the boers off. But the government isn't doing much about it either. Rhodesia went thru the same thing, they once fed Africa, now they cant even feed themselves. Mugabe (sp) figured out he needed the whites to run the farms but it was too little too late. Just another shithole country now.

The government isn't involved yet, but they plan on it. Just listen to a speech by the president there. I knew a guy who went to Rhodesia in the 70's to help with the fight. Last I heard from his BIL he was a captain in the Rhodesian White Army. I have no idea if he ever made it out but he was experienced with the African conflicts as well as the Israeli/Arab conflicts.
