With all the crap running the roads, I like the Big 3 brand wise speaking.

As to new cars these days they all suck, too much useless crap built in. Got my wife a car recently........ the owner's manual 500 fucking pages.. how about a break !

Give me a car with a, V8, 4 seed, heat, AC, radio (push button is just fine), bucket seats, glass head lights, and rear wheel drive. As for accessories electric windows, wish they would bring back the vent windows.

A car not a living room is all I need.

AMEN! Vent windows and drip rails! Rim sizes of 13" 14" 15" for most was just fine, IMO. No need for humongo rim sizes. Oh ya, and get the fuel pump out of the effing gas tank!
You boys better hold on cause i'm gonna have to stand on it!

The 1969 Alfa Romeo that I bought new in 1969 is still running well, now on its third owner. Pretty simple mechanically with great performance. 14" tires sadly are getting difficult to find in decent speed ranges. Only problem with the vent windows is that they make for easy entry by petty thieves to riffle through your car.

In my neighborhood the crooks are not picky which window they knock out to get into your ride so the vent window has no relevence to the break in discussion.

We had a Ford Mechanic Mechanic on our fire dept for a while.
His role was to be available to Ford mechanics via phone and internet to answer questions when Certified Ford Mechanics got stumped.
When I was looking for a new pick up he counseled.
If you want something that you can abuse and will stay operable buy a Ford.
If you want one which is more fun and comfortable but will endure buy Chev for more $.
Chrysler was good but he was concerned about powertrains if you planned to work it hard.
If you want something that would look good at the beach buy import. But, don't put anything in the bed.
