It belongs to a friend. It was pulled from a field where it sat for 10 years. The plan is to clean it up and make wall art out of it.   **G**

Wall Art, what ba waste. Rebuild it, make a test stand and run it in the yard while the neighbors are having a pick nick. ROTFLMBO If he wants to sell it let me know?

Don't sweat getting old, you'll still do dumb shit, just slower.

An Optimist will tell you the glass is half full, the pessimist half empty, the engineer will say the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

OK. I did not intend to offer this for sale just as a test picture. It's not mine. But since interest has been expressed I will talk to the owner tomorrow and get more pictures and a price.

More Pictures.

Pardon the qulaty the sun was behind the motor. Better pictures can be made.
My friend is a motorcycle wrench and has no idea of what this is worth. So if interested make an offer and I will forward it to him.
Like I said this was found in a field and does not turn over. We ran the numbers and the last time it was serviced was 1972.
  Thanks for looking.

That radial is too far gone to make good again.  Could be some salvageable parts on it to the right person.  Even if it could run again, FAA would not certify it air worthy. Cool find though. ;)

I have seen the FAA certify many a dirtbag engine. The pics didn't do it justice, so if you could get some better pics. I live between 2 airfields, and there are guys that restore planes.. I can post better pics on the board and see if anyone bites on it.
There are always projects in search of engines, or parts of planes.

Ken is right, it's too far gone for home restoration. It would be quite a hassle to find parts if needed What a shame. Mother Nature has done her worst here. Maybe woodchucker can find someone. As for price, no idea in that condition.

Hard to tell the condition,  "Stuck" doesn't help either, but there are probably some usable parts/pieces on it.
Value?  Can't say specific, do you know the maker? Or perhaps a model #?
I can ask a couple guys here if they'd be interested.

I will dig it out of his shop tomorrow and take better pictures and look for the id tag. It's a continental 7 cylinder. Like I said this was just a test picture I never thought that anyone would want it.
But since you guys have expressed an interest I will try my best to find out more info and post it.
Oh and by the way, I never claimed to be the worlds greatest photographer so please don't expect Ansel  Adams quality from me. Your lucky my thumb was not in the picture.
