New Harbor Freight 75 amp 120V Inverter Welder

I just bought today, one of the original series 75amp, 120v inverter welders. Itís a HF #61749.

the link below show the unit, not who I bought it from. I got it at the local HF store, as its now a closeout, I paid $50, it was the store display model. I used it for about 10 minutes this afternoon, it ran the 3/32" E6011C, with no issues. I have no idea why I bought this, Its not like I'm welder poor.

Sounds great! 10 minutes of welding you say. You have already done more welding than I have in the last 5 years, LOL. The last I did was TIG on some stainless. Made an O-zone generator for water purification.

i bought the older 130amp stick/tig on 220v, for an emergency repair in the field
it'll run 1/8" 6010 or 6011 on DC , surprisingly well
it also runs 1/8" 309L stainless rod well too
(that's the reason i got the HF welder in the first place, to make a repair in stainless quickly in the field)
but it does have a low duty cycle :(

i saw the little welder you got.
i'm interested to get one too, just to keep in the truck in case of emergency!
