I like it, these traders need to do some time, otherwise it will forever be confirmed there are 2 justice systems.... not that anyone over 10 does not already know that.

One thing President Trump is sure as hell making it known, and that I like.

It won't happen though, high level politicians never go to jail. Probably have too much dirt on the rest of them and would spill their guts....or "Commit Suicide". LOL
Let's face it, if this were you or me, we'd have been arrested months ago and been sitting in jail/prison waiting for our day in court.
Our politicians think of themselves as "Rulers" , not "Civil Servants" anymore and think themselves above the law.
IMHO, this will be drug out until either people forget about it or the ones responsible drop dead from old age. They'll never see the inside of a court room, let alone a prison cell like it should be.

that's how I feel about Trump, corrupt, a liar, a tax cheat.  Using his office to funnel business to his resorts.
While most do it and we don't know, he is doing it out in the open, and is brazen about it.

But there's no one to replace him... The dems are socialists.  I believe in less govt.. libertarian... right now we have a ruler...  While our system is broken, it is our system.   And just taking a pen and doing executive orders is not what was supposed to be our system.

The other day I was watching the re runs of the moon landing  reminiscing when laying on the floor watching it till 4am in the morning.
It was very interesting seeing all the people involved in the control rooms and their reminiscences today of the event.
The fact we went from brown paper and string aircraft to walking on the moon in just 60 years was nothing short of amazing.
I then watched the documentary "The planets" with Professor Brian Cox and again all the people involved and the enormous increase in knowledge gained along with awe inspiring pictures.
The phenomenal amount of planning required for those gigantic journeys through our solar system is nothing short of astounding.
Then came the science fiction like rocket powered landings of space X primary boosters for re use and I came to the realisation that mankind can do anything if it puts its mind to it.
Nothing is impossible.
We can overcome most obstacles to progress for a better world if we want.
In today's society most nations have an extensive education system covering all fields from abstract thinking to zoology and all disciplines and off shoots in between.
(I'm leaving out the poorest nations on the planet as they have many fundamental problems preventing a decent education)
Our knowledge base today is gigantic with virtually unimpeded access for most people.
With all this unimpeded access to a high quality education why is it we seem unable to learn any lessons from history?
The ruling classes of most countries whether they are in big business or politics appear to be run by people who have a total lack of ethics and morals, who love to deny the advances and knowledge in science, are absolutely so ensconced in the creed of greed that they still perpetuate the age old "Failed" policies that have proven to be flawed and downright dangerous to populations at large.
Why are we still going to war against other countries?
It's very simple to say "Its because "They" started it.
We are well educated today compared to those days of old but it still goes on and on and on.
Of the past 3,400 years, humans have been entirely at peace for only 268 of them, or just 8 percent of recorded history. A pretty sad statistic.
If we look at the classic bell curve as applied to education, morals, ethics, or any other paradigm you wish to use its obvious that half the population fall on the wrong side and that seems to be the side all our politicians and so called world leaders sit.
No wonder mankind is finding it difficult to climb out of the mire of mediocrity these days and advance to our full potential because the Dunning Kruger effect is alive and strong in all our leaders and in half the populations who vote for them, always assuming voting is allowed in that country.
There appears to be a direct link between how many psychopathic tendencies an individual possesses and how high up the greasy pole of politics or business they wish to climb.
When one looks at these psychopathic tendencies and the appalling self confusion between their confidence levels and actual real world competence its no wonder the whole world is in this state.
Maybe its time dump democracy which lets be honest no business or government really follows, it only pays lip service to it and change to a benevolent dictatorship.
It couldn't be much worse.

But eliminating democracy would mean having one person make decisions.  Another bad power grab.
There is no free lunch on this. In order for democracy to work the leaders must be held to the law of the land, not special laws like congress has.  Insider trading is ok for them. ...wtf

Our system is broken because of the party system.
And as you state, mostly incompetent boobs.

I by no means wish to diminish the efforts that people put forward to put a man on the moon along with all the other missions to further our knowledge, but when you dig deep enough you find the real reason behind it was a political power struggle between nation governments. It was the height of the Cold War and spying on your neighbors was the order of the day.
Modern wars, IMHO, are still being waged so that we stay the big boy on the block and to keep feeding the corporate war machines pockets. Look at how many big corporations exist today that mainly exist to build weapons of war. Thereís no profit in peace.
A lot of modern technology was initially created in order to use it for war. The simple microwave oven, created as an income stream using the technology of radar used to detect incoming enemy plans during WW-2. The internet, created as a secure form of communication for the military in the event of a nuclear strike. The list goes on.
As far as getting rid of democracy, this to me is another example of our failed education system. The USA was not created as a Democracy or was ever supposed to become one. It was created as a democratically elected REPUBLIC. Thereís a big difference between the two forms of government.

Very big difference.

not that big a diff. the major diff btwn democracy and republic is the limitations put on it by the constitution which protects the inallienable rights of the people, where as in a  true democracy the majority wins.. so the rights can be removed if the majority so wants.

So it's just the limits, that make a republic better.
