What did you buy today?
« on: October 19, 2019, 05:37:26 PM »
went to the Jacktown flea market today http://jacktown.org/.
bought the small dial indicator attachment, for $8, then found the longer unit, for $3.
the shackle I needed for the lifting straps, hope this is big enough to grab 4 ends.
And for $5 I couldn't turn down the Chineese mic holder.

Well acquired, was given. Sandvilk had a plant in a nearby town where they made stainles tubing, just closed it up, my buddy hauled oads of stuff out, gave me this along with a pile of stuff, guages down to 1/2 an inch of water, yep 1/2 an inch, blowing against the port moves the needle. Several flow meters, a portaband, an air driven belt sander with a 1/2 inch wide belt, couple of Starret magnetic bases , etc etc

Really handy to have inch and metric, internal and external thread checkers. Didnít really need them. Already have something similar. And what I have I use ALL the time in the shop. But when everything was for 10 bucks, I had to get them. The name on these is ďThread DetectiveĒ.

Not All Overseas Buys Are Bad

Iím blown away with my purchase of a metric reamer from overseas. For just $1.35, I got a 4mm reamer including shipping. And it cuts/works too! Had to wait about 2 weeks is all.

Got this height gage today for 5 bucks. Note the feature that allows you to adjust the scale. The scale slides up and down inside the frame. I guess to calibrate for ď0Ē or whatever? Donít recall seeing that before? And all the different stylusís, kinda nice. With the wooden box too.
