A New Milling Machine - Maybe
« on: March 15, 2020, 12:03:27 PM »
I went this morning and put a bid in on a additional milling machine, a 1960-70s era Schaublin universal, with all of the factory attachments. The current owner bought it brand new, and itís in pristine condition. Due to some family health issues, he is selling off his small prototype and machining business. I went to school with his son and have known the family for 50+ yrs, he seemed eager and satisfied to sell it to someone he knew who would cherish it. If I get it, it will be a hunk of change and a couple of the current shop equipment will be leaving the shop. I have a couple of possible buyers already, hopefully this will work out.

Schaublin makes some very nice machines! Good for you! I have a very small scale Schaublin milling machine that I use for micro machining. It is one sweet machine that I would never sell.
